Built for gamers

Eklipse connects to your Twitch, YouTube or Kick channel and watches your streams. Its AI combines gameplay events, audio spikes and chat activity to find highlights, and supports more than 1,000 games. You can also clip mid-stream with a voice command. Clips come with templates and captions and can be posted to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and X.

Vidulk works from any long video. Paste a Twitch clip or VOD link, a YouTube or TikTok link, or upload a file. The AI works from the transcript, so it suits talking streams, podcasts and commentary better than pure gameplay.

Pricing and free use

Eklipse's help center (updated August 2026) says premium is needed to export and download, with the free tier limited to previewing your best moments. Its homepage FAQ still mentions 3 free clips per stream, so check before relying on it. Eklipse's blog puts Premium at about $24.99 a month month-to-month; the US iPhone app lists monthly plans at $27.99 to $29.99 and yearly plans at $149.99 and $179.99.

Vidulk Unlimited is $9.99 a week, $19.99 a month or $179 a year on the web. Credits are $7 for one video or $19 for ten. Vidulk has no free clipping.

Where Eklipse is stronger

Game-event detection, automatic monitoring of every stream, voice commands and direct posting are Eklipse features Vidulk does not have. Vidulk has no scheduler or auto-posting. If you are a gaming streamer who wants clips waiting after each stream, Eklipse is built for you. If you want precise control over captions and layout, or you clip non-gaming content too, try Vidulk at vidulk.com/app.

Who should pick which

Choose Eklipse if you stream games several times a week and want highlights found for you without watching the VOD. Choose Vidulk if your best moments are spoken, such as reactions, stories, debates and Just Chatting segments, or if you also clip podcasts and YouTube videos.

Vidulk's editor gives more control over the final look: 65 caption styles, auto-reframe on faces, the whole video over a blurred background, a hook title card, progress bar, logo, color looks and music with ducking. Export is 720p, 1080p or 4K, against 1080p 60fps on Eklipse Premium, and projects follow your account between phone and web.
