Why did my video fail to import or find no clips?
If a video finishes with no clips, Vidulk gives your video credit back automatically and shows that the credit was refunded. If an import fails, no credit is used: try again, or upload the file instead of the link.
Applies to: iPhone and Android app, Web app. Updated October 14, 2026.
No clips found
The project shows No clips found and a note that your credit was refunded. This happens once per project, automatically. Subscribers are never charged in the first place. Videos started from the Editor tab are not refunded, because they are paid for editing, not for clips.
The project keeps its transcript. Adding clips to it by hand afterwards costs 1 credit (Use 1 credit to add clips), unless you have Unlimited.
Common causes: the wrong Video Language was picked, or there is little speech. For music, gameplay or silent videos, pick No speech (music / visual only).
Processing failed
- We couldn't download that link or Access denied: the site blocked the download, or the video is private or expired. Download the video and upload the file.
- This link isn't supported: see the list of supported links.
- This video is longer than 10 hours: trim it first.
- The video never finished uploading: upload it again and keep the web tab open until the upload ends.
- This video is stored on the phone that imported it: retry in the phone app, or sync it first.
Use Try Again, Upload the video file instead or Try another video on the failed project.
Credits on failed imports
A video credit is charged only when processing completes, so a failed import costs nothing. A stream charged when it starts gets its credit back if the job fails. If a stream has not moved for a long time, contact support and we will return the credit.
