How to clip a YouTube, TikTok or Twitch video with Vidulk

Open Import, choose Link, paste the video's address, pick the language spoken in it and press Start Processing. Vidulk downloads the video on its servers, transcribes it and returns scored, captioned clips; it uses 1 video credit when processing finishes, or nothing extra with Vidulk Unlimited.

Applies to: iPhone and Android app, Web app. Updated October 14, 2026.

Steps

  1. On Home, under Start Clipping, press Import Media.
  2. Under Choose your source, pick Link and paste the address of the video.
  3. Under Video Language, pick the language spoken in the video. A wrong language gives a garbled transcript and the credit is still used.
  4. Optional: add a title and pick a Content Type (Podcast, Social Media or General).
  5. Leave AI Recommended on to let AI choose the clips, then press Start Processing.
  6. When it finishes, the clips appear under Detected Clips. Tap or click one to open it in the editor.

Which links work

Links from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Twitch (clips and past broadcasts), Kick, Rumble, Vimeo, Dailymotion, TED, Trovo and Odysee, direct links to a media file, and podcast RSS feeds. The video must be public. Some sites block downloads; if a link fails, download the video and upload the file instead.

Twitch VODs and other long streams

Finished broadcasts up to 10 hours are processed on our servers. Live streams are not supported. A stream needs a credit when it starts, unless you have Vidulk Unlimited. On the web you can close the tab; the clips wait on Home.

How long it takes

Processing runs on our servers. On the web, a 10-minute YouTube video is often ready in about 2 minutes. Longer videos take longer.
