How to edit caption text and timing in Vidulk

Open the Captions tab in the editor to fix words the transcript got wrong, delete or add caption blocks, and move every caption earlier or later if they do not line up with the voice. Changes save as you edit.

Applies to: iPhone and Android app, Web app. Updated October 14, 2026.

Steps

  1. Open the clip in the editor and go to the Captions tab.
  2. Edit a caption block's words. On the web you can also click a caption on the preview to edit it there.
  3. To remove a caption, delete its block. To add one, use + Add caption at playhead on the web or Add caption block on the phone.
  4. If captions are early or late, use Offset under Timing on the web, or the Caption Timing slider on the phone (up to 2 seconds earlier or later). This shifts every caption together.
