How to add and style captions in Vidulk

Captions are added automatically from the transcript. Open a clip in the editor and use the Style tab to pick a caption style, then change the font, text colour, highlight colour, background and animation.

Applies to: iPhone and Android app, Web app. Updated October 14, 2026.

Steps

  1. Open a clip from Detected Clips or My Clips to bring it into the editor.
  2. Open the Style tab and pick a caption style. Tap the heart on a style to keep it in your favourites.
  3. Change Font, text colour, highlight colour and background colour. Each colour accepts a custom value.
  4. Pick an Animation: None, Pop, Bounce, Fade, Slide or Shake. Turn on colour cycle for rainbow words or auto emoji to add emoji to keywords.
  5. To change size and placement, open the Captions tab and use size, position and words per line.

Move captions on the web

In the web editor you can drag a caption on the preview, resize it with a pinch or Ctrl+scroll, and click it to edit the words. Safe zones above the preview shows where the TikTok, Reels or Shorts buttons sit, so captions stay clear of them.

Turn captions off

Pick None in the Style tab. The web preview also has a captions toggle that hides them while you watch; the export keeps them.
